The nursing school is launching a blood donation campaign under the slogan "Your blood donation is life to others:


Today, Wednesday, 2023/5/24, for two days, a blood donation campaign was launched in the presence of the Rector, Dr. Abdurrahman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khadiri, who is organized by the College of Nursing in cooperation with the Directorate General of Health, represented at the Penjaran Regional Laboratory and the Saudi Red Crescent Society under the slogan "Give your life to others." Through this campaign, the College strives to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of blood donation. The campaign saw the registration of some 500 donors and blood donors, both students and university students. The campaign also seeks to achieve as many blood units as possible from donors.

The campaign included an educational awareness fair on the donation of blood and its importance, as well as the procedures involved in the donation process. The campaign also included two scientific lectures, one on the importance of blood donation, by the faculty member Dr. Mohamed Hassan Nahari of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, as well as another by the surgical internal nursing consultant Dr. Aber Yahya, entitled "Your blood is life for others."

The event concluded with a tribute to the sponsors and contributors to the success of the campaign.



The College of Nursing celebrates World Nursing Day 12 -2023:

The College of Nursing celebrated the 12 May World Nursing Day each year as an opportunity to publicize the valuable contribution of nurses and nurses to health care delivery and to celebrate their hard work, dedication and commitment to improving the health of individuals and communities around the world.It also highlights the importance of adopting policies that support the nursing profession and improve the health outcomes of patients.
The event was opened by the Under-Secretary of the University of Najran, Dr. Zaheer Al-Amri, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahrani, and a number of high-level and high-level faculty staff. The exhibit included a number of briefing points, which contained a profile of the College and its role in community development, as well as the nursing profession and its stages of development, the control of chronic diseases and the fight against infectious diseases, and explained how first aid was provided for asphyxiation. The exhibit included a video documenting a number of college graduates who reviewed their studies and the educational services provided by the University of  Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahrani explained that the exhibition brought a sense of the importance of raising awareness Najran
among all parts of society and highlighting the role of the nursing college in community service.

The College of Applied Medical Sciences, in cooperation with the College of Nursing and Student Affairs, celebrates the International Day of Donation of stem cells. This initiative has been undertaken in the framework of the health colleges ' social responsibility to educate and raise health awareness among members of society, particularly in emerging topics in medical sciences, most importantly stem cell transplant techniques, and significant progress in this technique, especially in the treatment of blood and other immune diseases.


The event included awareness-raising lectures, a companion exhibition, and the publication of brochures to publicize the importance of donation of stem cells and how to register in the Saudi register of stem cell donors.



 

 

World Suicide Prevention Day:
On Thursday, 15 September 2012, the College of Nursing set up the World Suicide Prevention Day, which was set up by the Community Health and Mental Health Nursing Department in coordination with the Student Activities Unit at the Health College Theatre. The programme began at 10 a.m. in the presence of the College Coordinator, a number of female faculty members and a number of female administrators, as well as a number of female students. The International Day of Suicide Prevention was made aware of the causes and signs of suicide, how to prevent suicide, how to prevent it, how to evaluate people ' s suicidal ideas and behaviours, how to help them, and how to keep the person safe.




 

 


The nursing school is implementing the "Strengthen your winter immunity" initiative.

Today, the College of Nursing, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Mayor, implemented an educational initiative entitled "Strengthen your vulnerability in winter," in the College lobby, in the presence of a number of female faculty members and students from health colleges.
The initiative included a number of educational pillars, the first containing citrus fruit and species, the second providing the types of vaccines to be obtained against influenza, the third providing food supplements such as vitamins such as folic acid, vitamin C and iron, the fourth containing some sports advice and practices, and the fifth providing hot drinks.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among female students and reduce the spread of viruses by following a healthy diet.


 





The nursing school is launching a community initiative under the theme "The health of your child first":


The College of Nursing (Wednesday 12 October 2022M) launched a community initiative under the theme "The health of your child first" at the Al-Amam Mul complex, where it lasts for two days, under the auspices of the Rector, A.د. Abdurrahman Bin Ibrahim Al Khadiri.
The initiative included a number of health pillars, including maternal care, maternal health care and breastfeeding, the importance of early detection of breast cancer, the first-aid centre for children in the home and their protection, awareness-raising on childhood diseases and the need to immunize them with the necessary vaccines, the focus on children ' s mental and physical health and on healthy upbringing, as well as the measurement of vital signs, weight and height of visitors to the pillars.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Mohamed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Shahrani, explained that the initiative was aimed at raising awareness of the importance of implementing safety measures within the home, focusing on the importance of good and proper nutrition commensurate with the age and weight of the child, as well as raising awareness of the dangers of neglecting children or assigning them to things that are not appropriate to their age, emphasizing the importance of immunization as the best means of combating diseases, as well as training in first aid for emergencies in the home, and enabling participating families to know the basic and necessary principles for the application of such aids.
