null A campaign to raise awareness about early detection of breast cancer

The College of Nursing launched a breast cancer awareness initiative in cooperation with the Maternity and Children’s Hospital on the occasion of October, the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The exhibition and the mammogram screening vehicle were opened by Dr. Bandar Al-Shehri, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs at Najran University, and Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Muhammad Al-Shahrani.

The exhibition included several awareness sections, including:

1- A section to raise awareness of the risks of breast cancer and the associated symptoms

2- A section that talks about the importance of prevention and risk factors

3- A section focusing on the importance of early detection using a mammogram

4- A section that focuses on self-examination methods for early detection of breast cancer.

The event aims to reach the largest possible number of women in society who are over the age of forty, and conduct medical examinations for them, raise awareness of breast cancer, and train them on self-examination, with the aim of reducing the spread of the disease in society. The event will run from October 27 to October 28 at Najran Park Mall.
